December 1944 Rank:  Ensign (1st Lieutenant) (see ranks section)

Life After WWII:  Lifelong Washington D.C. resident, retired merchant.  He founded the Kneessi sporting goods store on Connecticut Avenue in Washington D.C. in the early 1940s and co-founded the Kneessi & Adler men's clothing store on 15th Street NW in the mid-1940s. He retired in the late1950s.
